Gabriel Saloman has contributed an article to Issue 3 of Breach, an online journal of arts writing… http://www.breachmagazine.ca/
Issue 3, subtitled Anti-Institutional Rehearsal, concerns itself with artistic attempts to resist and refuse institutional restraints and agendas by organizing alternatives to pre-existing models. Closing Doors looks at the Strathcona Art Gallery/STAG Library as an example and sets down suggestions for others seeking to build their own alternatives.

Breach is an independent, online journal of arts writing. A platform for the examination of contemporary art practice as it pertains to current social issues, Breach seeks to interrogate the intersections between the political and the cultural in a self-reflexive manner. Breach encourages critical stances that break from mainstream views and opinions.
New collections of articles are published quarterly (in March, June, September and December), centered around a theme. Beginning in 2016, Breach will expand to include monthly rolling content in a variety of formats.
Breach is located in Vancouver, British Columbia, on occupied and unceded Coast Salish Territory.
