Neighborhood Time Exchange is a platform for artists and community members to work together for mutual benefit towards social, civic, and place-based revitalization.
Neighborhood Time Exchange aims to create a novel residency structure in which for every hour artists spend working in their studio on their own projects, they in turn provide an hour of volunteer effort and service back to the community.
The program provides residencies lasting from one to three months, in a newly- renovated storefront space at 4017 Lancaster Avenue, at the intersection of many communities in West Philadelphia, and provides artists with free studio space, a monthly stipend, and basic tools and supplies. In exchange, Neighborhood Time Exchange artists provide skill and time-based resources for the surrounding communities, working on civic projects identified by residents and community- based organizations.
Come Visit The Space At 4017 Lancaster Ave.
Our Public Hours Are 1-5PM On Wed, Fri, And Sat
